Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need an appointment for lab testing?

No appointment is necessary for most lab tests. Walk-ins are welcome at both our Palm Beach Gardens and Stuart locations, open daily from 8am to 8pm. If you have specific lab orders from your doctor, bring them with you. For some specialized tests, calling ahead may be helpful.

How quickly will I get my lab results?

Rapid tests processed on-site (such as urinalysis, strep, flu, COVID-19, pregnancy tests) provide results in 15-30 minutes. Standard blood work sent to our reference lab typically returns within 24-48 hours. We'll contact you with results and any necessary follow-up.

Do I need to fast before my blood work?

Fasting (8-12 hours without food or drinks except water) is required for some tests including lipid panels, glucose tests, and comprehensive metabolic panels. If you're unsure, call ahead or bring your lab orders and we'll advise you. Many tests don't require fasting.

Can you do lab work ordered by my regular doctor?

Yes! Bring your lab orders from your physician and we'll perform the testing. We can send results directly to your doctor's office. This is often more convenient than going to a separate lab facility.

Does insurance cover lab testing?

Most insurance plans, including Medicare, cover medically necessary lab work. We accept most major insurance plans. Some tests may require prior authorization or may not be covered depending on your plan. We also offer self-pay rates for those without insurance.

Do you perform drug screening for employment?

Yes, we provide urine drug screening for pre-employment, random testing, and DOT requirements. Bring any paperwork from your employer. Results are typically available within 24-48 hours.

Can you test for STDs/STIs?

Yes, we offer comprehensive STD/STI testing including HIV, syphilis, gonorrhea, chlamydia, herpes, and hepatitis. Testing can be done via blood draw and/or urine sample. Results are handled confidentially and discussed privately with you.

What should I bring for my lab visit?

Please bring: (1) Photo ID, (2) Insurance card if filing with insurance, (3) Lab orders from your doctor if applicable, (4) List of current medications, (5) Any previous lab results for comparison if available.
