Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need an appointment for a school or sports physical?

No appointment is necessary. Walk-ins are welcome at both our Palm Beach Gardens and Stuart locations, open daily from 8am to 8pm. However, if you're bringing a team or large group, please call ahead so we can accommodate everyone efficiently.

How long does a physical exam take?

Most school and sports physicals are completed in 20-30 minutes, including the examination and form completion. Your total visit time depends on wait times and whether any additional evaluation is needed.

What should I bring to the physical exam?

Please bring: (1) The physical exam form from your school or sports organization, (2) Photo ID for parent/guardian and student, (3) Insurance card if you want to file with insurance, (4) Immunization records if required, (5) List of current medications if any, (6) Eyeglasses or contacts for vision screening.

What forms do you complete?

We complete all standard Florida school physical forms (Form 680), FHSAA sports participation forms, college/university health forms, camp physical forms, and most private school and athletic organization forms. Bring your specific form and we'll complete it during your visit.

Does insurance cover school and sports physicals?

Many insurance plans, including Medicare, cover annual wellness exams and physicals. We accept most major insurance plans. However, some plans may consider sports physicals as optional and not covered. We also offer affordable self-pay rates. Bring your insurance card and we'll verify coverage.

Can you do physicals for multiple children at once?

Yes! Bring all your children at once and we'll complete physicals for everyone. If you're bringing a team or large group, please call ahead so we can prepare.

What if my child needs immunizations or vaccines?

We provide common immunizations and can administer required vaccines during your visit. Please bring your child's immunization records so we can review what's needed. Some vaccines may require separate scheduling.

How soon before the season should we get a sports physical?

We recommend getting sports physicals 2-4 weeks before the season starts or tryouts begin. Most physicals are valid for one year, so you can get ahead of next year's requirements anytime.
